Calendar subscriptions (ICS)

Bring any calendar that offers an .ics link into Tweek — a school timetable, a fixture list, a booking system, a training plan. Calendar subscriptions are a Premium feature.

In the source calendar, look for an option called Subscribe, ICS, iCal link or Secret address in iCal format (that is what Google Calendar calls it). You need the subscription link, not an .ics file downloaded to your device; both https:// and webcal:// links work.

Treat a private link like a password — anyone who has it can read that calendar. If it ever leaks, reset it in the source calendar and connect Tweek with the new one.

Connect

On the web, go to Settings → your calendar. In the Synchronization section switch on Calendar (.ics), paste the link, pick a color and click Connect. The imported tasks show up on iPhone and Android as well.

Each Tweek calendar takes one link. On a calendar you share with someone, the owner is the one who connects it.

How sync works

Events arrive as ordinary Tweek tasks in the color you picked. Tweek brings in everything from three weeks ago onwards, with no limit into the future, and repeating events come in as recurring tasks. While the first import runs, the settings say Syncing….

After that Tweek checks the link every 5 minutes: new events appear on their own, and changes to an event’s title, date or notes come through. Change the color later and the imported tasks follow it, except the ones you have recolored yourself.

The sync goes one way. Tick tasks off, move them, rename them or add notes — your version stays, later refreshes don’t overwrite it, and nothing is sent back to the source calendar. An event deleted in the source calendar stays in Tweek as a task; delete it here if you no longer need it.

Limits

A link can hold up to 2,000 events from three weeks ago onwards (older history doesn’t count) and up to 5 MB. If a calendar is bigger, Tweek says so and imports nothing. If a calendar you have already connected outgrows the limit later, its tasks stay and the settings explain why the sync stopped.

If Tweek says it can’t read the link, check that it is the subscription address of a calendar and not the address of a web page.

Disconnect

Open Calendar (.ics) again and click Disconnect. Tweek asks you to confirm, because disconnecting deletes every task the link imported — including the ones you edited, ticked off or moved to another calendar.
