How can I share a task to collaborate on it with anyone?
You can share a single task with anyone — a colleague, a family member or a friend — so you both see the same task and know when it is done. The flow is the same in the web version and in the mobile apps.
Sharing a task does not share your calendar. The person you invite sees only that one task: not your week, not your other tasks, not your other calendars. The shared task simply appears in their own default calendar, next to their own tasks.
To invite someone to a task
-
Open the task and choose the share icon (a person with a plus) in the row of icons at the top of the task card

- Choose "Add people"
-
Enter the email of the person you want to invite and confirm with "Invite". People you already share tasks with are listed under "Available" — adding them takes one tap

-
They receive an email invitation. Until they accept it, their initials stay grey and marked "Pending". Once the invitation is accepted, the initials become active and the task appears in their calendar

To share a read-only task link
- Open the task and choose the same share icon
- Turn on "Share to web"
-
Choose "Copy" and send the link to anyone

Anyone with the link can open the task in a browser and see its title, date, checklist and notes — no Tweek account needed, and nothing else from your calendar. The link is view-only, and switching the toggle off makes it stop working right away.
A couple of limits worth knowing: you can share tasks from a calendar you own, and recurring tasks or tasks synced from Google Calendar or Outlook cannot be shared. A task that someone shares with you always lands in your default calendar — see Which of my calendars show a shared task?
